4.4130 Forged Bar Main Heat Treatment Processes
Mainly Quenching and Tempering (Quenching + High-Temperature Tempering)
In addition, production conditions and processes directly affect dimensional range and accuracy. The following are the main production processes for 4130 bar stock:
Hot working: including hot rolling and hot forging, suitable for producing large-size, thick products.
Cold working: such as cold drawing and cold rolling, resulting in high dimensional accuracy and good surface finish, but usually limited to smaller sizes.
Accuracy grade: For high dimensional accuracy requirements, cold drawing/cold rolling (e.g., H11 tolerance) can be selected, or further finishing (e.g., grinding, turning, etc.) can be performed to obtain high-precision round/fine round bars with an outer diameter tolerance of ±0.02mm and a straightness of 0.30/1000mm.
Supply status: Products can be delivered in various states, such as black skin, bright round, ground, sandblasted, etc. This not only affects the delivery cycle but also directly relates to whether further processing is required.
